The Meetings are open to all parishioners, and all are most
welcome to attend and contribute.
The remit if the Parish Pastoral Council here at St.Quivox is to support the Parish Priest and to be the forum from which pastoral planning and development is facilitated. It is also seen as holding an important function as a communication and feedback point. The Bishop feels that Parish Pastoral Councils have a large part to play in the regeneration and growth that is being required in all our parishes as part of the ‘Embracing the Future’ process.

Rosary and Scripture Prayer Group
Group Leader : - Estelle Mulhern
Meetings : - The group meet in the Church ‘Quiet Room’ every second Monday throughout the year from 7.30om - 8.15pm. All are welcome.
Notification of the meetings are found in the Bulletin.
The Group first met on 19th May 977 and usually consists of the following format : - Opening Prayer; Contemplation and Recitation of the Rosary offered for Special Intentions; Reading and reflection of the coming Sunday Gospel; The reading of Our Lady of Medjugojes’ monthly message with prayer; Concluding Prayer.
RCIA - The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
Team Leader : - Mrs Anne Pratchett
The Group meets weekly and accompanies those adults who are enquiring about the Catholic Faith with prayer, support, guidance and instruction.
Thursday Afternoon Club
Meets from 2pm - 4pm in the Church Hall. There are no meetings at Christmas, Easter or during the six weeks of the Summer Holidays. A weekly contribution of 0.50p is taken at each meeting to cover the costs of tea , coffee, biscuits, sweets and prizes for the bowls.
The club is primarily for parishioners of senior years, but all are welcome. Activities include carpet bowls, dominoes, cards and general chatter.
St. Vincent De Paul Society
Parish Co-ordinator : - David McAlees
St. Vincent de Paul hold a ‘Conference’ once per week, usually on a Wednesday at 7.00pm in the Church.
They are always glad of any help and emphasise the need for new members. Everyone has something to offer, as no special skills are required.
The Society works as and when required, and all their work is confidential.
Divine Mercy
Parish Co-ordinator : - Mrs Mary Robertson
Divine Mercy Devotions with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is on the first Friday of evry month. Adoration is from 2.30 - 3.30pm with Divine Mercy Devotions commencing at 3.00pm prompt. Closing prayers and Deposition of the Blessed Sacrament is at 3.30pm.
